CrissCross Oklahoma October 2005

On October 3, 2005 State Representative Gary W. Banz (R) Midwest City, joined Uwe von Schamann, the development director for the J.D. McCarty Center on the first leg of CrissCross Oklahoma. CrissCross Oklahoma was a major fundraising effort to build summer camp facilities in Norman at the J.D. McCarty Center, Oklahoma’s only state supported hospital for children with developmental disabilities.

Leg one started in Boise City and ended after eight and one half riding days in Idabel. Stops included Four Corners, Guymon, Hooker, Turpin, Beaver, Elmwood, Slapout, May, Fort Supply, Woodward, Seiling, Watonga, Geary, Hinton, Cogar, Minco, Tuttle, Newcastle, Purcell, Asher, Ada, Coalgate, Atoka, Antlers, Hugo, Valliant and Idabel for a total of 585 miles.
